Hannah Marie Williams is a Casting Director with bases in Wales & London. She has over 10 years’ experience from all corners of the industry, starting her career in the casting department for Legend of Tarzan, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, War Machine & Beast, whilst also gaining experience in casting for documentary and reality, working on productions with Zig Zag, Ryan Seacrest Productions and Mentorn Media. This mixture of experience now informs Hannah’s style of outside of the box casting, mixing diverse new faces with more established talent such as Adjoa Andoh, Joanna Scanlan, Honor Swinton Byrne, Ariyon Bakare, and Philip Glenister.
Branching out on her own in 2016, Hannah has worked on projects with the BFI, BBC, Film4, Sky Arts and Screen Scotland that have gained critical acclaim, prestigious festival selections and several BAFTA nominations. Recent credits include She Always Wins starring Honor Swinton Byrne which premiered at TIFF, Galwad; a trans-media project starring an incredibly diverse cast using BSL, English and Welsh language elements for Sky Arts and a 10 part TV series for popular SVOD which was internationally cast and will premier at the beginning of next year. Alongside casting for film & TV, Hannah casts for stage for National Theatre Wales and casts for commercials with recent clients including Facebook, Dominos and Bupa.
She is a member of the CDG and the CDA, has been selected as a Casting Director for Bafta Crew & the BFI Network and was a 2021 WFTV mentee, mentored by Kahleen Crawford (I,Daniel Blake, I Hate Suzie, His Dark Materials).
Alongside producer & director Lowri Roberts and actress & producer Maisie Williams, she founded THE FRANK FILM CLUB podcast. She casts for Lowri & Maisie’s production company Rapt. Hannah is repped by Ness Evans at 42.
