The Black River of Herself

The Black River of Herself is an Art film for national exhibition from Patrick Hough.

When an archaeologist is sent to excavate the remains of an Iron Age bog body, he finds the unexpected. The bog body has awakened to deliver him a stark warning; he must confront the impending storm of ecological collapse or face unfathomable disaster.

Created in collaboration with Film and Video Umbrella. Produced by Tracy Bass. Supported by the Arts Council of Ireland, Arts Council England and Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art, Sunderland.
